On Friday 20 February, join us for our next Meet the Winemaker Dinner, featuring the elegant, expressive wines of Terra Felix Wines and a seven-course degustation matched to seven wines.
Across the night, guests will enjoy over a bottle and a half of wine per person, starting fresh with a natural Sydney Rock oyster with pickled peach, red onion & basil salsa paired with Terra Felix Prosecco, before easing into deeper territory — including slow-cooked venison with forest fruits alongside Terra Felix Shiraz.
The story behind the wines
Terra Felix was founded in 2001 by Peter Simon, inspired by his Austrian-born father, who believed that good food and good wine were the backbone of a strong family life.
After years working with some of Australia’s largest and most respected wine companies, Peter made the decision to step away and do things his own way — creating Terra Felix as a more personal expression of place, craft, and generosity.
The name itself comes from Latin for “Lucky Country” — how Peter’s father described Australia — a philosophy that continues to guide the wines today.
That approach has paid off, with Terra Felix earning 5-Star Winery status from James Halliday and producing highly awarded wines across Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, sourced from premium regions including the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Heathcote, Beechworth and the Barossa.
