Position: Full Time Chef de Partie

Location: The Kitchen, Tootgarook

We’re on the lookout for a talented Chef de Partie to join our crew at The Kitchen, our flagship venue on the Mornington Peninsula.

What we’re looking for

  • Solid breakfast experience

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar

  • Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure

  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

  • Reliable, organised, and consistent in your work

  • Team-focused and takes pride in doing things properly

What the role involves

  • Preparing and cooking food to a consistent, high standard

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen

  • Managing prep, service, and workflow during both steady and busy periods

  • Working with fresh, seasonal produce and contributing to menu development

  • Supporting smooth kitchen operations across venues when required


Location: St Andrews Kitchen, St Andrews Beach

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on 2IC to lead weekend shifts and support the overall operation of the venue.

This role is a mix of barista work, team leadership, and all-rounder responsibility. You’ll be leading from the front — ensuring smooth service, supporting the team, and keeping standards consistent across the board.

The role also includes food handling and prep (sandwiches and cabinet), so being comfortable working across both coffee and food is important.

What we offer

What we’re looking for

  • At least 12 months experience in a supervisory or managerial role

  • Strong barista skills and confidence on the machine

  • Confident all-rounder — comfortable across coffee, food prep, and service

  • Good awareness on shift and ability to stay on top of service

  • Strong communication and a team-first attitude

What the role involves

  • Leading shifts and maintaining strong service flow

  • Preparing coffee to a high standard

  • Supervising and supporting team members

  • Preparing sandwiches and maintaining a well-stocked cabinet

  • Handling opening/closing, cash management, and daily operations

  • Stepping into any role as needed (coffee, floor, dishes, customer service)
